Well the rumours are true; DICE has implemented Commander Mode into Battlefield 4 multiplayer.

And it’s bloody great.

Demonstrated during a 64-player multiplayer ‘Siege of Shanghai’ demo, Commander Mode can be triggered using a tablet device or within the game and allows players to tactically plan assaults on specific targets, call out new threats and dynamically plan squad movements on-the-fly with a comprehensive view of the battle.
