Square Enix has been only too keen to advertise its latest bundles of classic titles, reimagined in high definition. With Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX now available worldwide, we are still left to wonder just when the Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster set will be coming out. Amazon still has its “tentative” release date set at the end of the year, and online searching has yielded no results. However, thanks to my super sleuthing, we may have a more defined release window available for you.

While perusing my local EB Games yesterday (in Auckland, New Zealand) I spotted their typical “coming soon” banner of games. Included on it was none other than the game in question, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster, giving the ballpark release of October 2013. While games listed around it had specific dates for their exact release, it seems even the home of hobbits cannot precisely pinpoint when this long-awaited package will be available.

While this has not been confirmed by Square Enix, it seems like a step in the right direction. And being on a proper printed banner as opposed to being sloppily written on a dry-erase board, I’m willing to put a bit more stock in it.
