Next month’s European PlayStation Plus update is a bit of special one.

December’s update you see, brings with it the first two PlayStation 4 free offerings to the service in the form of Resogun and Contrast.  Not to be undone by their newer and more expensive sibling, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita platforms still manage to give a good account of themselves too.

Check out all the incoming PlayStation Plus goodies after the break.

Getting the PlayStation 4 debuts out of the way first, both PlayStation Plus offerings for Sony’s new console will arrive on November 29th, alongside the release of the machine itself.

Of the pair, Resogun is a hyper-kinetic side-scrolling shooter with some truly face-blinding visuals and under the watchful eye of developer Housemarque, looks set to to do for Defender what Super Stardust did for Asteroids.  Cannot.  Wait.

The second half of the PS4 couple, Contrast, is as the name suggests; a massive departure from it’s December PlayStation Plus stablemate.  A noir-inspired platformer where you control a young girl’s imaginary friend who can hop in and out of the shadows at will, it certainly looks to be a promising and fresh-faced title for Sony’s shiny new chunk of next-generation hardware.

Over on the PlayStation 3 side of things, racer fans are extremely well catered for as Codemaster’s sublime, ultra-realistic racer GRID 2 hits the service on November 27th.

PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita owners are also in for a big treat next month as the critically-heralded, luchador platforming sensation that is Guacamelee! hits the service with Cross-Buy enabled on Novmeber 27th.  Seriously folks, this is one game you don’t want to really miss.

Elsewhere, Vita folks receive a nice dollop of racing love of their own with Sega‘s brilliant, IP encompassing kart racer, Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed and furthermore, they also get to revisit the Liberty City of ten years ago as PSP title Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories arrives as part of next month’s update.
