WoW

Blizzard has now confirmed the next expansion for MMO giant World of Warcraft at Blizzcon 2013 will be titled ‘Warlords of Draenor’ and that it is due ‘sometime in 2014’. Though no extensive plot details were revealed the expansion will take players in a journey through time, returning to the beginning of the Warcraft mythology and introducing players to the world of Draenor.

Several new features were also announced, most notably;

A New Continent: Explore Draenor, a new hostile zone home to the Orc and Dranei. The new continent will feature 7 zones and 1 PvP area.

Garrisons: World of Warcraft’s answer to player housing. Build and command your own customisable base in Draenor and gather the support of NPC companions to help accumulate resources and complete missions.

Increased Level Cap of 100: Continue progression a further 10 levels, with a single character boosted to level 90 to take advantage of the new expansion content immediately.

6 New Dungeons, 2 New Raids and Battlegrounds

Graphics Update: Blizzard is now finally updating WoW’s graphics system, introducing new character models and animations. No word yet as to whether the environments and textures are to be included in this update. New system requirements for the updated system will also be announced at a later date.

This will be the fifth expansion for the game, following 2012’s Mists of Pandaria. World of Warcraft is currently the most subscribed MMo on the market, though it seems to have taken a reduction from its 12 million mark set in 2010 down to 7.6 million today.

Warlords of Draenor is set for an unspecified release date in 2014.
