Do you love video games? Of course you do. Do you take joy in the melodies featured in your favorite games? It’s very likely! Do you live in Sydney, Toronto, Montreal, Atlanta or St. Petersburg? Well you should hope you do, because a fantastic symphony is headed your way later this year.

rePLAY: Symphony of Heroes” is the spiritual successor to “Play! A Video Game Symphony,” and has been developed by the creative team behind other fantastic orchestral events such as “Dear Friends,” “More Friends: Music from Final Fantasy,” and “The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses“. I, myself, have only had the opportunity to attend that last one, but I can assure you it was a night to remember. If you even get remotely excited over video game tunes, rePLAY is sounding like the best concert happening in the foreseeable future, bringing together music from such acclaimed franchises as Final Fantasy, Metal Gear, Journey, Portal, The Legend of Zelda, Halo, The Elder Scrolls, and more. Seriously, talk about a solid line-up.

According to the website, “The “rePLAY” live concert experience places the beautiful music of games in a whole new context, taking the audience on a hero’s journey that you won’t want to miss.”

The show’s tour kicks off at the Sydney Opera House in Australia, on March 7 and 8 at 8:00 PM and 2:00 PM respectively. From there the show takes to the following places:
St. Petersburg, Florida; The Florida Orchestra: April 19 at 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM
Atlanta, Georgia; Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre: June 13 at 8:00 PM
Toronto, Ontario; Sony Centre for the Performing Arts: September 6 at 8:00 PM
Montreal, Quebec; La Place Des Arts: October 4 at 8:00 PM

But that’s not all! Other shows have been announced, though tickets are not available just yet. Keep your eyes peeled on the rePLAY website for more updates on the following shows:
• Monterrey, Mexico; Arena Monterrey; October 24
• Mexico City, Mexico; Arena Ciudad de Mexico; October 26
• St. Paul, Minnesota; Roy Wilkins Theater; November 14
