In what might be the best news for RPG lovers in a while, Tales series producer Hideo Baba confirmed that Tales of Hearts R will be hitting the PlayStation Vita later this year. After all the rumors and even a GameStop listing that’s since been removed, it’s good to finally have confirmation!

Read on for the announcement video, which was up briefly before being taken down, but since this is the internet, we never forget anything. Also, while there is no specific release date yet, Baba promises more info soon, as well as more news on Tales of Xillia 2 and Tales of Zestiria as well.

Tales of Hearts was originally released for the Nintendo DS back in 2008 yet never made it out of Japan despite many feeling it was one of the best in the Tales series. Tales of Hearts R is a fully-voiced remake that released last March for the PlayStation Vita that also featured new events and characters and it looks like we will finally be getting our hands on it this winter.

To say that I am “really fucking excited” is as big an understatement as anything I have ever said in my life. But yeah, I’m REALLY fucking excited.
