2K has revealed that WWE superstar John Cena is the curator of the soundtrack for WWE 2K15.

Boasting an in-game soundtrack that features a dozen tracks, the song list cribs liberally from country, rock and hip-hop genres.

In addition to the game itself, a “companion soundtrack” is also on the cards and not only features all the songs from the in-game soundtrack, but two exclusive bonus tracks too. The tracks in question are “Breaks” and “All Day” by hip-hop maestro Wiz Khalifa and John Cena himself respectively.

The companion soundtrack is set to release on iTunes a week from now on October 21st.

Speaking about the soundtrack, Cena was enthused to curate a list of tracks that would give players the opportunity to foster an interest in these songs and the genres that they represent.

“Reaching across many genres of music to some of my friends and those who have worked with WWE, I truly believe that gamers will become avid listeners of these songs,” Cena stated.

The full track list is as follows:

  • Wiz Khalifa & John Cena – “All Day”
  • B.o.B – “Ready” (Feat. Future)
  • Rudimental – “Free” (Feat. Emeli Sandé & Nas)
  • Wiz Khalifa – “We Dem Boyz”
  • Flo Rida – “Wild Ones” (Feat. Sia) [WrestleMania 28 Version]
  • Knife Party – “Bonfire”
  • Big Smo – “Workin’” (Feat. Alexander King)
  • Mystery Skulls – “Ghost”
  • Royal Blood – “Come On Over”
  • Wiz Khalifa & John Cena – “Breaks”

Furthermore, WWE 2K15’s soundtrack will also feature tracks from bands such as Rise Against, Dizzy Rascal and Avenged Sevenfold.

John Cena, for his part, released his own rap album back in 2005, most appropriately titled “You Can’t See Me”.

WWE 2K15 is set to release on October 28th in North America and October 31st in Europe on Xbox 360 and PS3.

The Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game meanwhile, are set to arrive on November 18th in North America and November 21st in Europe.
