It used to be that the only place you could find all your favorite Nintendo characters together in one place was the Super Smash Bros. series. Nowadays, the Big N is all about franchise crossovers, Easter Eggs, and special appearances.

Even cross-platform, third-party titles often receive the Nintendo special treatment when brought onto their systems, as with such titles as Tekken Tag Tournament 2 or Bayonetta. The latest game to follow this wonderful trend: Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate.

The game has already been graced with loads of awesome and bizarre cross-over features, and the announcements just keep coming. Today we see two Metroid-inspired outfits join the fun, as Samus temporarily changes her occupation from bounty hunter to monster hunter. Check out the trailer below, showcasing the Varia and Zero Suit outfits in action.

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate will be available for the Nintendo 3DS early 2015.
