When Games with Gold launched with outdated titles like Halo 3 and Fable 3, many people were unimpressed. Since then, however, Microsoft has slowly grown the program to include an incredibly respectable list of games, proven by their trio of free games kicking off 2015.

January 1 – January 31
D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die (Xbox One)
The brainchild of Hidetaka “Swery” Suehiro, D4 is a mind-bending, time-travelling puzzle game that just released in September for the Xbox One. You play as Private Investigator David Young as he travels though time to unravel the mystery behind his wife’s death.

January 1 – January 15
MX vs. ATV Alive (Xbox 360)
MX vs. ATV Alive is probably the least exciting of the line-up this month, but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth your time, especially at the asking price of NOTHING.

January 16 – January 31
The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings (Xbox 360)
Meanwhile, you can tend your wounds left by The Witcher 3‘s delay by picking up The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings and playing through the world that garnered 9s and 10s across the board from the biggest outlets out there today. You should want The Witcher 2 on any normal day. For free, not grabbing it would be a foolish move.
