Current-gen console owning folks who have been dying to leap into Gearbox Software‘s Borderlands series will not have to wait any longer.

Just hours ago, 2K together with Gearbox Software have announced Borderlands: The Handsome Collection for release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 24th, 2015 in North America and in European territories three days later on March 27th.

Retailing at $59.99/£49.99 RRP, the collection (as its name suggests) includes Borderlands 2, the recently released Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and all of the DLC for both games.

In addition to a veritable mountain of content, each game will also hit the ground running with smoother, more detailed visuals, split-screen support up to four players and the ability to transfer your save if you already have a game in-progress on one of the last-gen consoles (more games need to do this, really).

Finally, a super-special version of the Borderlands: The Handsome Collection titled the Claptrap-In-A-Box edition, contains the base game and a fully remotely controllable Claptrap replica droid that can be controlled via an iOS or Android device.

Limited to just 5,000 units worldwide, the Claptrap-In-A-Box edition is set to retail for $399 and contains the following extra goodies:

  • Everything in The Handsome Collection
  • A remote controlled Claptrap steward robot – controlled through a smartphone app and can move in all directions while balancing on one wheel. The Claptrap can also say lines in character and live stream video to a mobile device through his eye.
  • A collectible steel case
  • 12 exclusive lithographs
